Hazle Township recently launched a new responsive website that helps both residents, businesses, industries and area newcomers quickly and efficiently access important information.
Residents can access the site on all devices to find detailed information on the township’s many services and service providers, including the Hazle Township Fire Department, garbage collection, property management and tax collection.
A variety of government documents and forms are available through the website, including residential and commercial permit applications as well as other license and permit application forms. The forms can be downloaded, filled out and returned to the township office. Residents can also access rules, regulations and applications for building and land projects and read a copy of the township’s zoning ordinance, which provides a list of zoning regulations that control land usage and gives details on required permits for a variety of activities within the township.
Newcomers and visitors can learn more about life in the township, including an area overview and information about regional economic development, education and recreation options and a history of the township.
The website was developed by Precision Design, a Hazleton-based advertising, marketing and public relations firm that has developed websites for numerous clients, including CAN DO, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Hazleton Public Transit and several municipal governments.
Hazle Township Supervisors’ Chairman Jim Montone said, “In developing this website, we focused on how we can best serve both the residents of Hazle Township as well as any businesses or individuals who may be looking to relocate and need more information on Hazle Township and Greater Hazleton in general. We made it easy for everyone to access information on Hazle Township, CAN DO’s economic development initiatives and vital documents and forms right from our homepage. We also made sure that our residents have efficient access to join our Swift 911 emergency notification list so they can be contacted with important information and announcements.”
Additionally, the website provides links to contact forms individuals can use to report problems regarding code enforcement, zoning enforcement, the road department, street lighting or playgrounds. The website’s built-in forms submit the information directly to Hazle Township officials.
The government section tells visitors about the township, its supervisors, staff, hours and directions. Other features of the site include links to regional and county organizations and an online contact form to reach township supervisors and staff.
