The Hazle Township Supervisors Announce…..FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING EVENT FOR HAZLE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 9:00am-12:00pm, at Hazle Township Complex, 101 West 27th St., Hazle Township, PA 18202

For Your Information:

.Residents must show proof residency (i.e. driver’s license or utility bill)

.Limit of 3 boxes per resident (box not to exceed size 12x10x15)

.Shredding is limited to confidential and sensitive materials only (i.e. bank statements, old bills, medical records, etc.) No books, magazines, newspapers, 3 ring binders, plastics, heavy metals, trash, photos, cell phones, CDs or cardboard.

Residents are asked to check papers for foreign objects that may cause damage to the shredding equipment.

Municipal Authority

Hazle Township Municipal Building

The Municipal Authority of Hazle Township (MAHT) is an independent agency created in 1966 that oversees the construction and maintenance of the sanitary sewer lines in the township. Authority members are appointed by the Hazle Township supervisors.

The authority is responsible for the billing and collection of sewage transmission fees from each resident. Payments can be made at the authority's office in the municipal building.

The authority is continuing to install sewage lines in areas of the township currently served by septic or wildcat systems. This multi-million-dollar project will take several years to complete. When finished, most of the township will be connected to sanitary sewer lines.

Members of the Municipal Authority of Hazle Township are Andrew G. Benyo, Francis J. Boyarski, Dennis Dudeck and Eugene Rafalli. All members are appointed for five-year terms.
