Sewer

The Municipal Authority of Hazle Township is an independent agency created in 1966 that oversees the construction and maintenance of the sanitary sewer lines in the township. Authority members are appointed by the Hazle Township supervisors.

The authority is responsible for the billing and collection of sewage transmission fees from each resident.

The authority is continuing to install sewage lines in areas of the township currently served by septic or wildcat systems. This multi-million-dollar project will take several years to complete. When finished, most of the township will be connected to sanitary sewer lines.

For more information or with questions, call the authority at (570) 459-5921.
